Called to the bar in 1974, Bernard Raudri Burke Morahan, known as “Rory” is a highly experienced and motivated trial lawyer with over 40 years of expertise and a passion for educating clients on their legal rights and guiding them through the legal process.
With an understanding of diversified circumstances and cultural awareness, Rory is able to represent clients from all ethnic backgrounds.
Rory is dedicated to his career and his success as a trial lawyer. After graduating with a Master of Law Degree from the University of London in 1983, a Bachelor of Law from the University of British Columbia in 1973 and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria in 1970, Rory worked for D. Owen Flood J., the prosecutor’s office, and then opened his firm, Morahan & Aujla Law Office, and later Morahan & Company.
Rory has a positive demeanor and an easygoing approach. He is able to make clients feel comfortable, even when discussing difficult matters.
Rory has been counsel on a number of precedent-setting cases in British Columbia during his practice and he continues to challenge the justice system on cases respecting exercising individuals’ constitutional rights.
Personal Interests and Background
Rory was an international class rower, and he continues to enjoy rowing and sailing each summer. In the winter months he spends his time on the slopes, having been a former Ski Patrol member for 35 years. Rory enjoys spending time with his teenage son participating in outdoor adventures like kayaking and wakeboarding.
